Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the declined 0.21% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Saudi Steel Pipe Company (TADAWUL:), which rose 6.53% or 1.85 points to trade at 30.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Leejam Sports Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) added 5.17% or 7.80 points to end at 158.60 and Al ELM Information Security Company CJSC (TADAWUL:) was up 4.18% or 27.00 points to 673.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Agriculture Development Co (TADAWUL:), which fell 10.00% or 4.80 points to trade at 43.20 at the close. Middle East Healthcare Co CJSC (TADAWUL:) declined 9.94% or 6.30 points to end at 57.10 and Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (TADAWUL:) was down 9.93% or 4.55 points to 41.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 196 to 66 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Steel Pipe Company (TADAWUL:) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.53% or 1.85 to 30.20. Shares in Leejam Sports Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) rose to all time highs; rising 5.17% or 7.80 to 158.60.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.34% or 1.09 to $82.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.19% or 1.01 to hit $86.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 9.40 to trade at $1,978.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.60% to 4.13, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 101.83.
